Short Answer - Honest Gum is Plastic Free and for great reasons... At Honest Gum you will NEVER find plastic in our chewing gum! Most conventional chewing gums list ‘gum base’ as one of their ingredients, masking the fact that petroleum, polyethylene, polyvinyl acetate, petroleum wax and stearic acid may be among the components. Not to mention the potentially harmful synthetic sweeteners such as aspartame or sorbitol. That’s why at Honest Gum our main focus is having a plastic free gum base. We make our natural chewing gum the traditional way using chicle, a sustainably harvested natural sap from the sapodilla tree in Central America. This means our chewing gum has NO nasties, NO artificial colours, NO artificial flavours, NO artificial preservatives and NO petrochemical bases (aka plastics).

Yes! You can definitely throw your Honest Gum in the compost and it will decompose in approximately 12-15 months.
