DAO Plus or DAO mini tablets: which one should I choose?
The amount of the active Diamine Oxidase enzyme is the same for both products, namely 20,000-30,000 HDU per tablet/capsule. Do you only want to use the Diamine Oxidase enzyme? Then it is best to choose the DAO Mini tablets. These are easy to swallow (5mm diameter). If you also like the benefits of the additional active ingredients Vitamin C and Quercetin, then choose the DAO Plus capsules.
What is the difference between the DAO Plus and DAO mini tablets?
The DAO mini tablets contain only the Diamine Oxidase enzyme, packed in a small tablet (diameter 5mm). In addition to Diamine Oxidase, the DAO Plus also contains vitamin C and Quercetin, packed in a capsule. Both the DAO Mini tablets and the DAOfood Plus capsules contain 20,000-30,000 HDU per tablet/capsule.

The current batch (2006A) DAO Plus contains 27390 HDU and the current batch (2002) DAO mini tablets contains 28000 HDU Diamine Oxidase.

Ingredients
Pig kidney extract with 7% diamine oxidase (DAO) enzyme (20,000-30,000 HDU per capsules), Quercetin 95%, Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid). Fillers: microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose. Glazing agent: ethyl cellulose, potato starch. Stabilizers: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, medium chain fatty acids. magnesium stearate, oleic acid, sodium alginate. Humectant: glycerine. Anti-caking agent: stearic acid, magnesium carbonate, dicalcium phosphate, Rice starch. Coloring agent: caramel. Capsule: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC).

*Please note this product is not suitable for vegetarians as each tablet contains 4.2 mg pork kidney protein extract which contains the 20,000-30,00 HDU DAO enzyme.
Uses
Take 1 capsule just before the histamine containing meal or drink. Use a maximum of 3 capsules per day. In case of difficulty swallowing capsules, the capsules can be opened and then you can swallow the individual tablets with some water, without chewing them.
