Who is GR8 Health?
Since opening in 2017, we have sent more than one million health products into Australian homes. We remain independently owned and founder-led.
The “8” in GR8 represents the founding principles behind our approach: Nutrition, Exercise, Air, Water, Moderation, Design, Sunlight and Rest. Together, they express what we mean by Live Ahead of Time—acting today to build a longer, healthier life tomorrow.
We have a particular commitment to women in their 40s and beyond, while also supporting men who want to protect their health as they age.

GR8 Health is not a faceless online marketplace.
Every day, our team works from our Southport headquarters and warehouse, managing thousands of natural health products, coordinating with suppliers and carefully picking, checking and packing customer orders.
Our warehouse at Unit 10, 46 Smith Street, Southport, Queensland is also the home of our Gold Coast Click & Collect service. It connects the scale and convenience of an online health retailer with the support of a real Australian team.
From this one location, we help customers and families throughout Australia access products, information and practitioner support.

Sam Godfrey — Founder and Naturopath
GR8 Health was founded by Sam Godfrey in 2018 after deeply personal experiences changed the way he thought about health.
Sam lost his father to prostate cancer at an early age and watched both his mother and sister face breast cancer while still young. These experiences strengthened his belief that people should be supported to think about their health earlier — not only after something has gone wrong.
With qualifications in business, international studies and naturopathy, Sam brings together natural health knowledge, consumer understanding and more than a decade of direct experience in the Australian health and wellness industry.
He founded GR8 Health to make better natural health products, practical information and practitioner guidance more accessible to Australian families.
Today, Sam continues to lead GR8 Health and its Gold Coast team across natural health, customer care, product development, education, technology and retail innovation.

Dr Julie Douglass — General Practitioner and Medical Contributor
Dr Julie Douglass is a Gold Coast general practitioner and University of Adelaide medical graduate who has helped shape GR8 Health’s approach to health education and product development.
Her medical and scientific perspective complements the traditional and evidence-informed knowledge of our naturopathic team.
Dr Julie has contributed to the development of GR8 Health products and educational resources, helping us consider how natural health, nutrition and lifestyle can responsibly sit alongside conventional medical care.
This combination matters. We do not believe people should have to choose between nature and science. The strongest health decisions are made when both are understood and used responsibly.

We know that stocking a large range carries a responsibility.
Natural health products should not be assessed only by popularity, packaging or the strength of their marketing. When reviewing products and determining which products to feature or recommend, our team considers:
Ingredients and formulation
We look at active ingredients, purpose, dosage form, supporting ingredients and how the formulation compares with available alternatives.
Evidence and intended use
We consider whether the ingredients and formulation are supported by credible evidence for their intended purpose. We also consider whether the product makes sense for the customer and health goal it is designed to support.
Quality and transparency
We look for clear labels, responsible manufacturers, appropriate testing and Australian regulatory compliance where applicable. Therapeutic products should be TGA-listed or registered when required.
Practicality and value
A product must be realistic to use. We consider serving size, ease of use, duration of supply, price and whether the formulation provides genuine value rather than relying on an impressive-looking label.
Freshness and supply
Practitioner-grade products often contain targeted active ingredients, making responsible stock management important. We regularly source specialist products from trusted suppliers rather than overstocking every range for long periods.
As naturopaths and natural health professionals, we place a high value on receiving current supplier stock and maintaining product integrity.
A product being popular does not automatically make it right for everyone. Our goal is to help customers understand their options and make a more informed choice.
