The Cajeput tree, or Melaleuca cajuputi, is native to eastern Australia, Myanmar (Burma), New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and the East Indies1.
As a member of the Melaleuca family, this lesser-known essential oil has some of the benefits of both Eucalyptus and Tea Tree Oil, however, it has a lighter, crisper scent that is fresh and fruity, with slightly medicinal undertones.
