Description
Undaria pinnatifida is a brown seaweed native to Japan. It was introduced to the southern hemisphere approximately 30 years ago. Our farmers monitor the growth of Undaria seaweed and continues to sustainably harvest substantial quantities of Undaria from both the Tasmanian marine environment.
Undaria inhabits the intertidal zone down to depths of 20 metres. It is primarily found in sheltered reef areas which are subject to oceanic influence but not exposed to high wave action. Sporophytes produce up to 100 million spores which then settle and grow into new plants. Conditions such as temperature, light and depth are all important variables in the Undaria life cycle. Plants can reach approximately 2m in length in less than one year and growth rates can be up to 1cm per day.
Each and every batch produced is check for contaminants and iodine levels.

Just add 1-2 teaspoons into water, juice or your cooking. Store below 25 degress and keep out of direct sunlight. Contains moisture sachet do not eat!.
