The unique Sol-C collagen peptides included in Collagen Balm work their magic by absorbing into the skin and forming a protective barrier on the surface to create a plumper and smoother complexion and pout. The balm is also rich in fatty acids thanks to the inclusion of Shea Butter, which is well known for its healing properties and ability to renew and protect the skin against harsh elements.

Parabens: Chemical preservatives. Increase product shelf life and keep the product bacteria free - but are also associated with increased rates of breast cancer. Some skins can also become sensitive or irritated by products contianing parabens. So no Parabens.
PEGS, SLS and SLES:
PEGS (Polyethylene glycols) - Humectant and solvent). High concern with this ingredient for contamination, and moderate concern for toxicity.
SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) - Emulsifying agent and Surfactant. Moderate concern for skin, eye and lung irritation, and moderate concern for organ toxicity. So none of these!
Fragrances: Fragrances are known to be irritants for all skin types, so we have kept them out.
