Sol Organics is more than just hand crafted, its heart crafted, thanks to owner and founder Jen — who’s pouring her heart and soul into every thing she makes. Her focus is to share the healing properties and health benefits of Ayurvedic food while creating gluten free, organic, whole food products that are made with love.

The Sol Organics story started with Jen’s own struggle to find health after being diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. After years of heavy medications and two devastating miscarriages, Jen was at to her wit’s end in the search for relief. Discovering a local herb shop, she found herself suddenly introduced to Ayurveda and the traditional healing practices of ancient medicine. In keeping with Ayurvedic principles, Jen was put on a strict herbal regime and finally, something clicked. In time, Jen was off her heavy medications and low and behold, naturally conceiving her second child.

Through restoring her own health, Jen found a new passion for Ayurveda and natural wellness. Travelling to the Ayurvedic Institute in New Zealand, she was able to learn this kind of ancient knowledge from the leading Ayurvedic practitioner in the world, Dr. Ajit. Here she learned to cook traditional healing foods, including a staple ingredient in all goods, GHEE. Jen brought this new skill and infused passion back home to Australia and began cooking for friends and family. Before long she saw a need in the whole foods market for quality made Ghee and the rest, as they say, is history!

Jen now lives in the lush Byron Shire, creating her delicious products and raising her three beautiful children, the third of which serendipitously became the namesake for this project of love: Sol.
