Uses
Fusion Curcumin Advanced is a therapeutic blend of high-strength curcuminoids, which are derived from turmeric. It also contains ginger and a standardised herbal extract of boswellia.
Curcuminoids and inflammation
Curcumin is part of a group of active compounds called curcuminoids, which are found in the popular herb, turmeric. Curcuminoids perform a range of therapeutic actions in the body, including:
- Relieving inflammation
- Reducing mild joint aches and pains
- Decreasing mild rheumatic pain
Curcuminoids also have antioxidant actions in the body.
In addition to their musculoskeletal and antioxidant effects discussed above, curcuminoids also support:
- Healthy cholesterol
- Gallbladder function
- A healthy immune system
- Wound healing
Highly concentrated, standardised curcumin
Curcumin Advanced contains Curcumin C3 Complex®, a highly concentrated extract that’s standardised to provide consistent levels of therapeutically active curcuminoids. In addition to curcumin it contains the curcuminoids demethoxycurcumin and bidemethoxycurcumin, which assist in stabilising curcumin and contribute to the antioxidant effects of Curcumin C3 Complex®.
Piperine enhances bioavailability of curcumin
Curcumin Advanced is specially formulated with piperine (BioPerine®), an active compound derived from black pepper, which promotes the bioavailablity of curcumin.
In Ayurvedic (Indian) medicine, black pepper is commonly used with ginger.
Curcumin C3 Complex® and BioPerine® are registered trademarks of Sabinsa Corporation.
